Personal Trainer (NASM)

The personal training industry is projected to grow approximately 27% by the year 2016 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2006). If you are serious about making a career move into fitness training get certified from the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

The Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) program consists of class room and specific practical application training. Students will gain knowledge about the human body, training techniques and the physical application of sound, safe and productive personal trainer skills. Six hours of training will focus on American Heart Association CPR and AED certification.

A textbook is required and is available at the College Store (910.938.6295).

NASM certification fee of $399.00 will be due in full to Coastal Community College approximately 30 days prior to course ending date. This package will include practice tests and the voucher for the NASM CPT certification. Once this package is ordered it is NON-REFUNDABLE.
