Employment Skills Training/HRD

The Human Resources Development (HRD) program is designed to educate and train individuals who are unemployed and underemployed. It provides training, counseling, and assistance with placement in either employment or additional education. The registration fee is waived, making the classes free of charge to people who qualify. Classes are offered on campus and Tarawa Terrace. After you complete three HRD classes, you may be eligible for a scholarship for another class.

Technology for the Workplace
Students will learn basic computer skills with a focus on improving keyboarding abilities. Throughout the course, students will also improve their employment skills.

Learn how to use technology to locate job openings, create a resume and cover letter, complete on-line applications, and more.

Hunting & Landing a Job
Get ready for your job search! You will learn to write an impressive resume, interview effectively and confidently, and find unadvertised jobs.

Getting a Job in Today’s Economy (Online)
