The North Carolina Medical Care Commission has named Coastal Carolina Community College an Advanced EMS Educational Institution. Coastal is qualified to teach all levels of initial and continuing education courses, for all levels of EMS credentials. The College is also affiliated with the American Heart Association as a Community Training Center, and the National Academy of Emergency Dispatch as an Approved Teaching Institute.
EMS personnel may attend continuing education courses and have the registration fee waived as long as the chief of their agency signs the waiver form certifying that the training is job related. Students must bring the signed form to the first class meeting to be allowed to enroll.
NOTE:
Registration fees are waived form EMT paramedic Continuing Education course for volunteers from local fire and rescue squads.

Coastal's Emergency Medical Technician Basic Class prepares students for the NC and national certification exams. Call 910.938.6294 for details. This class will open doors for individuals to work in Onslow County, throughout the state and nationally in private and public ambulance services.
