A+ Instructor (Part Time Continuing Education)

A+ certified instructor needed to teach the A+ Certification Prep Course. This course is designed to prepare students to sit for the A + certification examinations by reviewing two areas in detail: A+ core hardware and A+ Operating Systems (OS). Must be A+ certified. Aviation Maintenance, Landscaping, Masonry, Surveying Instructors

Continuing Education Division (Non-credit) positions available:

Aviation Maintenance Technician – Must be FAA Licensed Aviation Maintenance Technician with both Airframes and Power plants rating. Teaching background and experience with the Dale Crane Aviation Maintenance Technician Series is a plus.

Landscaping - Landscape Contractor or extensive experience in landscape design, construction and maintenance. Topics of instruction to include site preparation through the installation of the final project details including retaining walls, paving, exterior carpentry, fencing, and free-standing walls.

Masonry - North Carolina General Contractor classification S(Masonry Construction) or extensive experience. Topics of instruction to include brick, concrete block, gypsum partition tile, pumice block and any other facsimile units and products common to the masonry industry.

Surveying – Graduate of a Surveying program, or extensive experience as a Party Chief of a Field Survey Crew. Topics of instruction to include basic mathematics including geometry and trigonometry, basic concepts in surveying, surveying equipment and field methods, and surveying applications.

Building and Grounds Keeper (Full Time)

Responsible for general housekeeping, and minor maintenance of the buildings, and maintenance of grounds and landscaping.  Perform job-related tasks, and assignments consistently at an acceptable level, as determined by the immediate supervisor. 

Duties include, but are not limited to, sweeping, buffing and mopping floors; shaking out mats; vacuuming carpets; dusting and moving furniture; cleaning restrooms, water fountains and whiteboards, washing building walls and windows; emptying and removing trash from offices and buildings.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, grasp, reach and stand; perform repetitive movements required for vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, polishing, and shoveling dirt, ice, snow and debris from common areas:

Must be able to use various cleaning agents to include floor wax, cleaner and disinfectants. 

CDL preferred.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a diverse population. Ability to work independently and one year of custodial experience preferred.

Salary: $1840.00 per month.

Coordinator for Enrollment Services

This employee will be responsible for the overall coordination of enrollment services for designated college curricula programs; assist in the preparation of enrollment and summary reports for local, state, and federal authorities including registration summaries, enrollment summaries, end-of-term reports and annual reports; coordinate enrollment services for the Registrar’s Office to include supervision of assigned staff; coordinate the distribution and maintenance of preliminary and final class census rolls and institutional class reports; build a positive working relationship with faculty by assisting with any needs/concerns in order to improve both the institutional and registration processes. 

Education and experience: Two-year degree in Computer Information Technology or related field preferred or a High School diploma or GED supplemented with data management experience.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and computer keyboarding required.

Work hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday with some evening work required.

EMS Instructor

EMS Instructor-Teach EMT classes and other EMS related classes. Specific job duties require development of course materials and the delivery of high quality classroom instruction. The position may require both day and evening work Monday through Friday and occasional weekend hours as the need arises.

Evening Librarian (Part-time)

Supervise the Learning Resource Center on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 4PM -10PM and every fourth Saturday from 9AM - 5PM. Hours may vary slightly. The Evening Librarian will provide general reference services to students, faculty, administrators and a larger college community. Candidate will conduct bibliographic instruction classes and provide individualized assistance with research tools.

Graduate degree in Library or Information Science required. Training & extensive experience in the application of microcomputers to library work required; extensive networking and on-line search experience preferred. The candidate must have outstanding social skills and ability to work with patrons.

Salary: $15.50 per hour

Financial Aid Assistant

Provide appropriate assistance to facilitate the operation of the Financial Aid Department.  Assist individuals in completing financial aid applications and rectifying any problems.  Assist in reviewing prospective student aid applications and determining financial aid award amounts for electronic processing.  Answer telephones, take messages and independently secure information to resolve questions and provide responses where applicable.  Build and maintain student financial aid files.  Perform other duties as assigned. 

Education and experience: Completion of a one-year certificate/diploma in related area preferred or High School diploma or GED with data entry experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer keyboarding required.  Excellent customer service skills and knowledge of basic income tax preparation procedures preferred. 

Evening work may be required. Must be able to work with a diverse population of students and staff.

Minimum salary; $1840.00 per month.

Previous experience teaching group activity/wellness classes in a commercial fitness setting, have nationally recognized certification, and experience teaching various group fitness classes within the CCCC Wellness Department. Teach MDSS II 7.1 System Administration functions, garrison plan development, deployment and embarkation planning, Ad Hoc Reports and interfacing functions. One to two years experience with the Marine Air Ground Task Force Deployment Support System (MDSS II) and the Automated Air Load Planning System (AALPS) required. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) experience a plus. A working knowledge of the Force Deployment Planning and Execution (FDP&E) process preferred. Security (Part Time)

Work nights, weekends and holidays. Minimum of SIX month’s security experience mandatory; provide protection for faculty, staff, students and property. Must be able to patrol campus on foot and in vehicles; complete written accident reports on campus and at off campus extension sites.
