The Division of Continuing Education is seeking a knowledgeable, dynamic and engaging instructor for our Chiropractic Assistant Program. Candidates must be a Doctor of Chiropractics with at least 3 years of experience in the field. In addition to all education and licensure requirements, candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of presentation skills, classroom management, student/teacher dynamics and instructional strategies for adult learners.
Proficiency using Microsoft Office is required and the ability to navigate Campus Cruiser and Blackboard. Applicant must have successfully completed CIS 110 or CIS 115. Computer Science or Engineering Majors are preferred.

Responsible for scheduling and coordinating course curriculum in accordance with curriculum standards for Basic Law Enforcement Training; Select, schedule, and supervise qualified instructors; work with area law enforcement agencies to identify and meet their training needs; Locate and verify acceptability of potential students; ensure compliance with the Criminal Justice – Training and Standards Commissions Administrative Code. High School graduate with five years of practical experience as a criminal justice officer or in a related field, or Associate degree with four years of practical experience as a criminal justice officer or in a related field, or a Baccalaureate degree in Criminal Justice; experience in criminal justice training and/or certification as a criminal justice school director preferred (if not already certified, an applicant must be willing to earn the certification by August 1, 2012); excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; knowledge in the use of multi-media technology and computers; ability to continue/build relationships with area law enforcement agencies.
Teach Emergency Medical Technology credentialing classes to the level of your credential with occasional teaching of other EMS related classes as needed. Specific job duties require development of course materials and the delivery of high quality classroom instruction. The position may require primarily day work. Monday through Friday, and occasional evening or weekend work as the needed. Certification as a North Carolina EMT any level, Paramedic preferred, with a minimum of 3 years field experience. EMS Instructor Methodology required, Level I or II EMS instructor credential preferred. BLS Instructor credentials preferred. AAS Degree in EMS or other healthcare related field preferred.
Fire Training Coordinator will assist with planning, coordinating, and overseeing Continuing Education Fire Training classes. Five (5) years credible firefighter experience is required (paid or volunteer). General Level II North Carolina Instructor Certification recognized by the North Carolina Fire and Rescue Commission is required. Associate’s Degree is preferred. Some evening and weekend hours required.
Function in a collaborative environment to provide high-quality library services in support of all Community College students, Faculty, Staff, and Public. Successful candidate supervises all areas of library operation. Must be able to effectively interact with all library users in a diverse environment. Duties require an understanding of academic processes and trends in higher education, including, but not limited to, distance learning and the support of 4-year degree completion program in a 2-year institution. Position reports to the Vice President for Instruction and Information Resources. Must possess a Master’s in Library Science/Information Science or the equivalent, required, with preference given to graduates of ALA (American Library Association) accredited programs. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory/management experience in a library setting preferred. Some evening/weekend work may be required.

Nurse Aide Instructor to serve as lead instructor; teaching classroom, lab, and clinical experience. Nurse Aide 1 following NC Nursing Assistant 1 curriculum. Supervise clinical experiences at Assisted Living Facility and Nursing Homes. Excellent teaching skills and rapport with students.

Candidates must be a graduate of an approved Massage Therapy School with current NC licensure or a licensed physician, dentist, chiropractor or registered nurse. Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years experience in a related field and all appropriate certifications or licensure from the appropriate NC State Licensing Board.
The Adult Basic Education Program is accepting applications for part-time math instructors. Responsibilities include planning and providing instruction, providing support activities for optimal learning, monitoring student progress, and completing all required paperwork. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree in math, education or a related field. Previous teaching experience preferred. Standard working hours: 1:00-4:00 pm.
Teach MDSS II 7.1 System Administration functions, garrison plan development, deployment and embarkation planning, Ad Hoc Reports and interfacing functions. One to two years experience with the Marine Air Ground Task Force Deployment Support System (MDSS II) and the Automated Air Load Planning System (AALPS) required. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) experience a plus. A working knowledge of the Force Deployment Planning and Execution (FDP&E) process preferred. Possess effective communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Military or government experience preferred. Teaching experience desirable.

Assist identified hearing impaired students with interpretation of classroom lecture and related instructor/student communications through approved sign language methods.

The person in this position will provide lab and clinical instruction including reinforcing theory for Surgical Technology students. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with a diploma or degree in Surgical Technology and a minimum of one year clinical experience as a CST is required. Previous teaching experience and computer literacy is preferred.
