How to Apply

There are two ways to submit a Coastal Carolina Community College application.

  1. Complete the online application package and submit by email. When you select Submit by Email you have two options:
    • Choose Desktop Email Application if you currently use an email application such as Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, or Eudora.
    • Choose Internet Email if you currently use an Internet service such as Yahoo or Microsoft Hotmail. You will need to save your form and return it manually to personnel@coastalcarolina.edu.

A+ certified instructor needed to teach the A+ Certification Prep Course. This course is designed to prepare students to sit for the A + certification examinations by reviewing two areas in detail: A+ core hardware and A+ Operating Systems (OS). Must be A+ certified. Director of Law Enforcement Training


Full Time

Department: BTLS

Responsible for scheduling and coordinating course curriculum in accordance with curriculum standards for Basic Law Enforcement Training; Select, schedule, and supervise qualified instructors; work with area law enforcement agencies to identify and meet their training needs; Locate and verify acceptability of potential students; ensure compliance with the Criminal Justice – Training and Standards Commissions Administrative Code. High School graduate with five years of practical experience as a criminal justice officer or in a related field, or Associate degree with four years of practical experience as a criminal justice officer or in a related field, or a Baccalaureate degree in Criminal Justice; experience in criminal justice training and/or certification as a criminal justice school director preferred (if not already certified, an applicant must be willing to earn the certification by August 1, 2012); excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills; knowledge in the use of multi-media technology and computers; ability to continue/build relationships with area law enforcement agencies.

EMS Instructor

Teach Emergency Medical Technology credentialing classes to the level of your credential with occasional teaching of other EMS related classes as needed. Specific job duties require development of course materials and the delivery of high quality classroom instruction. The position may require primarily day work. Monday through Friday, and occasional evening or weekend work as the needed. Certification as a North Carolina EMT any level, Paramedic preferred, with a minimum of 3 years field experience. EMS Instructor Methodology required, Level I or II EMS instructor credential preferred. BLS Instructor credentials preferred. AAS Degree in EMS or other healthcare related field preferred.

Head Librarian


Full Time

Department: Learning Resource Center

Function in a collaborative environment to provide high-quality library services in support of all Community College students, Faculty, Staff, and Public. Successful candidate supervises all areas of library operation. Must be able to effectively interact with all library users in a diverse environment. Duties require an understanding of academic processes and trends in higher education, including, but not limited to, distance learning and the support of 4-year degree completion program in a 2-year institution. Position reports to the Vice President for Instruction and Information Resources. Must possess a Master’s in Library Science/Information Science or the equivalent, required, with preference given to graduates of ALA (American Library Association) accredited programs. A minimum of 2 years of supervisory/management experience in a library setting preferred. Some evening/weekend work may be required.

MDSS II Instructor

Teach MDSS II 7.1 System Administration functions, garrison plan development, deployment and embarkation planning, Ad Hoc Reports and interfacing functions. One to two years experience with the Marine Air Ground Task Force Deployment Support System (MDSS II) and the Automated Air Load Planning System (AALPS) required. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) experience a plus. A working knowledge of the Force Deployment Planning and Execution (FDP&E) process preferred. Safety Training Instructor


Part Time

Department: Small Business Center

(The person in this position will teach on an as needed basis) Provide instruction in the following areas: OSHA 10 and 30 Hour General Industry, OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 Hour Construction, 40 Hour Hazwoper, 8-Hour Hazwoper Refresher, Forklift Safety, COnfined Space-Permit Required and Awareness Level, and other Safety and Environmental topics.

Education Requirements/Experience: Minimum Requirements: Combination of education and experience in Safety and Environmental field equivalent to 3 years in Environmental health and Safety Management; certification in OSHA 500 and OSHA 501 courses and designation as OSHA Authorized Trainer for the the Construction and General Industry areas; excellent communication, presentation and training skills; aility to coordinate customized training to meet clients needs; demonstrated ability to contribute ot the team.
