Certified Ophthalmic Assistant to instruct students in the Evening Ophthalmic Assistant Program which begins January, 2016. Candidates should be knowledgeable; self-motivated; fluent with Word and PowerPoint; and demonstrate strong presentation, organizational, and communication skills. Teaching experience is preferred, but not required. If without previous teaching experience, applicants should be willing to learn student/teacher dynamics and instructional strategies for adult learners. A minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a COA, COT, or COMT, and all appropriate certifications from the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology required.
Salary: Based on education and experience.
