Basic Computer Keyboarding

Focus of the class will be to improve keyboarding abilities and increase the students’ comfort level with computers. Class projects will include creating cover letters and completing job applications. No prior computer experience is necessary. 30 hours. CE 200D

This class is designed for those who have been out of the workforce and those looking for a career change. Emphasis will focus on transferable skills, skills assessment, and career possibilities. Students will set goals and establish a career plan. 9 hours. CE 200D

This course is focused on simple budgeting skills and tools to assist you in taking control of your personal finances. The student will develop a working budget to enable them to make positive decisions with their money. 16 hours. CE 200D

Exploring Health Care Careers

This class is designed for students interested in a career in the Healthcare Industry. Students will explore job duties, training requirements and learn about a variety of careers in the healthcare profession. 27 hours. R 100

Introduction to the Direct Care Workforce

This course will help students determine if direct care work (ex: Home Health Aide, Nursing Assistant, etc.) is the right career choice. Students will learn about work settings, education, and career ladders. 16 hours. CE 103

Career Pathways: Direct Care Basics

This course will include skills development in home management and personal care. Topics covered will include infection control, personal care, safety, professionalism, home management, effective communication, job-keeping skills, and CPR training. 63 hours. CE 203
