Medical Billers are employed at hospitals, medical clinics, various doctor offices, insurance companies and may work from home.

The Medical Billing Specialist Program is just four months long. It will cover a brief introduction to coding manuals; an in-depth study of healthcare claims and billing collections procedures, various types of insurance carriers, medical necessity, insurance denials and appeal process. The course provides the most up-to-date information to ensure the correct procedure for billing insurance claims for physician services. Upon successful completion, the student will be prepared for the American Academy of Professional Coders’ (AAPC) CPB national examination. Prerequisite

Medical Terminology and Medical Coding Specialist or AA in Medical Office Administration within the last four years. Strong computer skills are most beneficial.

College Registration fee $180 +$1.00 insurance is due upon registration.
