Today, Project Management plays a key role in the competitive global business arena, within all areas of government service, and within smaller businesses and organizations. It is one of the world’s most in-demand skill sets and is one of the fastest growing professional disciplines. More than ever, organizations need individuals and teams with solid project management knowledge and skills to get the job done as quickly as possible, effectively, efficiently, and at the least amount of cost.
In this 72-hour certificate class offered by Coastal Carolina's Continuing Education Department, instead of just “winging it” you will learn the five basics of Project Management:
- initiating
- planning
- executing
- monitoring and
- controlling and closing
along with the computer skills to successfully manage projects. 32 hours of soft skills instruction and 40 hours of two levels of Microsoft Project computer software training will enable you to more successfully manage projects. You will learn how to break down an overwhelming workload into manageable elements and will gain essential skills in key areas that can be applied on the job.
The cost for this certificate class is $60.00. Students who successfully complete the 72-hour class will be awarded a Coastal Carolina Community College Project Management Certificate.
Who Should Attend?
These classes are designed for business leaders, mid-level and senior managers, those who wish to become project managers, IT professionals, Six Sigma and other quality control managers, team leaders, and project managers at all levels.
The class will run Tuesday & Thursdays evenings from 5:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. There will be no classes on 11/11/08, 11/13/08, 11/25/08, and 11/27/08.
