2012 New River Anthology - Coastal's Student Literary Magazine
Submit poems, stories, essays & cover artwork to be considered for inclusion in the 2012 magazine by Friday, February 24th
Submission Guidelines
Poetry — 3 to 5 poems
Fiction/Nonfiction — up to 3 pieces of fiction or nonfiction up to 15 pages per submission
Artwork — 3 to 5 scanned files of artwork or photographs at 300 dpi
Names must not appear on your manuscript. Please attach a separate cover sheet that lists your name, titles of pieces; genre (poetry, fiction, or non-fiction); complete contact information (address, cell phone and alternative number, email); and a 25–50 word brief biography of yourself.
Send submissions via Internet as attached MS Word or .rtf document for text, and .jpg for artwork

FREE Assisted Self-Service Tax Preparation (FAST) at Coastal
As the tax year comes to an end, many people will start rushing to local accounting offices to have their 2011 income tax return completed. The Accounting Department is pleased to announce its participation in the IRS Free Assisted Self-Service Tax Preparation (FAST) Program.
To qualify for FAST assistance(Free Assisted Self-Service Tax Preparation), each taxpayer's yearly income must be less than $57,000 and less than 52 years old. Also each taxpayer must qualify to file a Form 1040EZ or 1040. (Volunteers will be able to assist taxpayers with W-2's, simple 1099's, and 4506-T as all volunteers have passed the Basic Certification Exam given by the IRS).

New! Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) / Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) Certification Prep Course - I |
Coastal Carolina Continuing Education Division is excited to announce the new MCSE / MCSA training program. Our revised MCSE / MCSA Certification Program is designed to prepare students for the various exams and provide an effective, efficient and flexible way to learn how to successfully design, plan, and implement a Windows 2000/2003 network infrastructure, Active Directory infrastructure, and support clients.
The MCSE / MCSA program consist of 7 difference classes (broken into 3 distinct series).
Operating Series:
- Installing, Configuring and Administering Windows XP Professional
Configuring Windows Vista
Windows Server 2003 Series:
- Managing and Maintaining a Windows 2003 Server Environment Exam 70-290) Monday and Wednesday evenings 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Skills Building Room 110
60 hours of instruction $175 per student
- Implementing, Managing, and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Network Infrastructure
- Planning and Maintaining a Windows 2003 Server Network Infrastructure
