Step One: What Is Your Business Objective?

Once you have found answers to your questions and studied your answers, you are ready to set your business objective. Your objective is what you want to achieve. It is a mission statement. For example, if you want to start a house cleaning business, your objective might be to "offer affordable, reliable, high-quality cleaning service to families in (your county, city or town)."

From a main objective, you can then decide on short and long term goals for your business, and the strategies you will use to reach them. Setting and reaching these goals will be covered in the marketing section of the Business Plan you will write.
