Annual Student Art Exhibition

Coastal Carolina Community College is proud to announce the call for entries to our 27th Annual Student Art Exhibition. The exhibition will be open from March 24 – April 8 in the Fine Arts Building, with a reception on March 24 from 4:30-6:00 pm. Awards announced at 5:00pm.

Eligibility: All current students attending Coastal Carolina Community College are eligible to participate. Only original work completed within the last two years and which has not been previously exhibited in any CCCC art exhibition may be submitted.  All media accepted.

Guidelines: You may submit up to 3 pieces of artwork. Submit 1 JPG or PDF image per work. Three-Dimensional works may include a second image to show detail or alternate view. 1MB max per image. 

Required Online Submission Process: Only images submitted through the online process will be accepted for jury.

Image File name should be: Name_Medium_Size_Title_Date (Ex: ArtPicasso_Charcoal_18x24_2020)   

Submission deadline: Digital submissions accepted until 11:59pm EST on Sunday, March 1. Notification of accepted work will be posted on Coastal’s website no latter than March 11.

Delivery dates for accepted work: Deliver to FA 105 or 106 on March 18 from 9:00am-4:30pm or on March 19 from 7:30am-4:00pm. Additional times by appointment only.  

Specifications for accepted work:

Two-dimensional work must be dry, framed, wired, and ready to hang (no cords, strings, or saw-tooth hangers). ***Work that does not have hanging wire securely attached will not be accepted.

Three-dimensional work that is freestanding must be supplied with the appropriate stands/pedestals. Coastal has a locked display case for small-scale sculptural work.

*All submissions are subject to Administrative review.

*Work not accurately represented by the submission image will not be accepted.

Liability: Work is not covered by insurance. Coastal Carolina Community College will make every effort to care for the work but we cannot take responsibility for damage or loss to the submitted work.

Juror: A student committee will be selecting the work for this year’s exhibition. All artwork is subject to administrative review.

Pick-up of work: April 9 from 7:30am-4:00pm or April 20 9:00am-4:30pm. Additional times by appointment only. Work must be picked up by the artist or by a previously designated person.
