What to Expect on Your First Day at MCAS New River
When you arrive at New River your class will be located on the second floor of the Education Center. Classroom numbers will be located on signs posted around the building.
First day of the term: January 6
*Students taking Tuesday/Thursday classes should not show up for class until Tuesday, January 7.

Open Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am – 8:30 pm and Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
The MCAS Education Center is located in Building AS-212. The parking lot is located in the front of the building. You are permitted to park anywhere that does not have designated markings.
Classrooms are located on the second floor of AS-212 and this building does not have an elevator. If you need accommodations for a classroom to be relocated to the first floor, please contact email@example.com at any point during the semester.
Military Off-Campus Sites must follow the Official Dress Code as set forth by the John A. Lejeune Education Center. In an effort to maintain a professional relationship, please keep the following in mind:
- No flip flops/shower shoes.
- No spandex or athletic wear.
- No spaghetti strap or sleeveless style clothing.
- No offensive logos or writing.
- No distressed jeans; i.e., holes.
- No hats.

Vending machines are available to purchase snacks and beverages.
Students who need to obtain access to Camp Lejeune should contact Tammy Morley in the Admissions Office in the Student Center Building at Coastal's main campus, located at 444 Western Boulevard, Jacksonville, NC 28546.
What to Expect Upon Arrival to the Contractor Vetting Office
The Contractor Vetting Office is located at the Wilson Gate aboard Camp Lejeune. When entering the base, please stay in the far left lane. You will see the Contractor Vetting Office on the left, prior to entering the gate. Please keep in mind that there are a limited number of people permitted inside the building at a time. The hours of operation are 6:00 am - 2:00 pm. The wait times vary, and you may be expected to wait outside for longer periods of time. Please dress accordingly.
Students can only receive their access credential one day prior to the first day of the term.
Military Off-Campus Sites follow the closure schedules for Marine Corps Community Services as well as the guidelines set forth by Coastal Carolina Community College. Please check with the Director for Military Off-Campus Sites, or your Division Chair, for additional information in the event of a closure.
