41st Public Art Exhibition

Call for Artists  CCCC’s 41st Public Art Exhibition Coastal Carolina Community College is proud to announce the call for entries to our 41st Public Art Exhibition. We cordially invite you to take part in this exciting event! The exhibition will be open from October 22nd through November 15th in the Fine Arts Building on campus. An opening reception will take place on October 22nd from 4:00-5:30pm. Awards will be announced at 5:00 pm. Eligibility All artists from Onslow County who are 18 years of age or older are eligible to participate. Only original work completed within the last two years and which has not previously been exhibited in any CCCC art exhibition can be submitted. Works in all media will be accepted for juror selection. Guidelines You may submit up to 3 pieces of artwork.  (1 JPG or PDF image per 2D work. Three-dimensional work is allowed up to 2 images per piece). 1MB max per image.   Required Online Submission Process Only images submitted in the online process will be accepted for jury. All submissions must be received by 11:59pm EDST on September 29, 2019 for juror consideration.  A list of accepted work will be posted on Coastal’s website beginning October 10. Delivery dates for accepted work October 16 & 17: 9:00am-5:00pm Specifications for accepted work Two-Dimensional Work  work must be dry, framed, wired, and ready to hang (no cords, strings, or saw-tooth hangers). ***Work that does not have hanging wire securely attached will not be accepted. Three-Dimensional Work that is freestanding must be supplied with the appropriate stands/pedestals. Coastal has a locked display case for small-scale sculptural work. *All submissions are subject to Administrative review. *Work not accurately represented by the submission image will not be accepted. Awards Coastal Carolina Community College will present $350.00 in awards plus a $300.00 purchase award. Liability Work is not covered by insurance. Coastal Carolina Community College will make every effort to care for the work but we cannot take responsibility for damage or loss to the submitted work.
