Call for Artists | 25th Annual Student Art Exhibition

Coastal Carolina Community College is proud to announce the call for entries to our 25th Annual Student Art Exhibition. We are inviting the students of Coastal Carolina Community College to enter artwork. The exhibition will be open from April 17 through May 4 in the
Fine Arts Building, with a reception on April 17 from 4:30 – 6:30pm. Awards announced
at 5:00pm.

Eligibility

All students attending Coastal Carolina Community College are eligible to participate. Only original work completed within the last two years and which has not previously been exhibited in any CCCC art exhibition can be submitted.

Media

Works in all media (painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, computer art, and photography) will be accepted for juried selection.

Guidelines

You may submit up to 3 pieces of artwork. Submit 1 JPG or PDF image per work. Three-Dimensional works may include a second image to show detail or alternate view. 1MB max per image.

Required Online Submission Process

Only images submitted in the online process will be accepted for jury. Link is also published on CCCC’s site. Submit all images (JPG or PDF with your name and abbreviated artwork title as the file name) to the Student Art Exhibition images dropbox. Submit a single word document with the following information to the Student Art Exhibition art & artist information dropbox. Word document in this order: email address; name, mailing address, phone number, artwork information for each piece submitted (title, dimensions, media, date created, and sale price or NFS).

Submission deadline

Digital submissions accepted until 11:59pm EST on March 18, 2018. Notification of accepted work will be emailed by/on March 29.

Delivery dates for accepted work

Deliver to FA 101 on April 9 from 7:30 – 9:00am & 10:00 – 1:00pm or on April 10 from 12:30 – 4:00pm. Additional times by appointment only.

Specifications for accepted work

Two-dimensional work

Work must be dry, framed, wired, and ready to hang (no cords, strings, or saw-tooth hangers). ***Work that does not have hanging wire securely attached will not be accepted.

Three-dimensional work

Work that is freestanding must be supplied with the appropriate stands/pedestals. Coastal has a locked display case for small-scale sculptural work.

*All submissions are subject to Administrative review.

*Work not accurately represented by the submission image will not be accepted.

Liability

Work is not covered by insurance. Coastal Carolina Community College will make every effort to care for the work but we cannot take responsibility for damage or loss to the submitted work.

Selection of work

A student committee will be selecting the work for this year’s exhibition. All artwork is subject to administrative review.

Pick-up of work

May 7 from 7:30 – 9:00am & 10:00 – 1:00pm or May 8 12:30 – 4:00pm. Additional
times by appointment only. Work must be picked up by the artist or by a previously designated person.
