On March 25, 2020 faculty and staff at Coastal Carolina Community College gathered much-needed personal protective equipment (PPE) from several departments and programs to be donated to healthcare providers in Onslow County.
The donated personal protective equipment includes:
- N 95 masks
- Disposable gowns
- Face masks/ Face shields
- Exam gloves
- IV starter kits
- Hypodermic needles and syringes
- Disinfectant wipes
Hospital systems in North Carolina have asked the public for the much-needed personal protective equipment and supplies to help protect workers and patients during the coronavirus pandemic. Coastal Carolina Community College items were donated to Onslow Memorial Hospital and the Emergency Operations Center.
Coastal Carolina Community College partners with local healthcare institutions to provide students with extensive opportunities for hands-on clinical training and experiences in nursing, dental, emergency medical science and other high demand healthcare professions.
