Webpage Tips and Tricks for Teachers
Learn how easy it is to post homework assignments, upcoming events, articles of interest, and links to resources, upload documents, enhance graphics and upload photos and videos to your Schools-in-Sites classroom webpage.This class is designed for teachers from all subject areas and all grade levels to provide tips and tricks to make the webpage a good public relations tool and effective way to deliver personalized instruction to students of all ability levels.

Using Microsoft PowerPoint for Classroom Instruction
Are you a teacher who could use some help motivating and keeping the interest of your students? This course will show you how to create captivating lessons and attention-grabbing classroom presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint. You’ll see how using PowerPoint helps you address different learning styles, making it much easier to engage a variety of learners. We’ll cover the basics of this MS Office program including using templates, creating slides, inserting text, changing background colors, creating WordArt titles, and adding slide transitions. Then you’ll develop the skills to insert graphics, sound, video, custom animations, timed transitions, and hyperlinks. Effective Use of Social Media to Support Classroom Instruction
The effective use of social media strategies to supplement, or be used in place of, traditional training endeavors can provide a big payoff for both learners and trainers. For one, the technologies dissolve many of the barriers between the learners and the instructor, creating a more informal, collegial, and interactive learning environment. Learn how social media relates to classroom instruction and how it can bridge the gap between students and faculty. The course will examine which social media sites are most popular for faculty for their professional and teaching responsibilities as well as the concerns and barriers that they see in adopting social media as part of their teaching process.

Image Editing: Adobe Photoshop Elements for Teachers
This course will introduce teachers to Photoshop Element’s key concepts, tools, and techniques that allow you to take control of your images. You will learn to create, manipulate and enhance photographs and graphics for use in either print or web. Students are provided with the opportunity to bring in their own photographs to enhance or correct.

Practical Use of Technology in the Classroom
Participants will be offered practical uses for technology resources available to the middle/high school teacher. Participants upon completion will have a better understanding of and be more proficient in the use of: Atomic Learning; SnagIt; Captivate; Adobe Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements; Inspiration; digital still and video cameras; visual presentation equipment.

Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint for Teachers
