New Student Experience Orientation

Coastal Carolina Community College's New Student Experience offers Orientation sessions for both dual-enrollment (CCP) and curriculum college students. Sessions are offered year-round, Monday through Friday, as well as online.

Attendance is required for all new students (who have not attended another college) as well as for former dual-enrollment (CCP) students.

However, we recommend all students sign up for a session!

Appointments are required for both seated and online session options.
To book your appointment, click the "Register for a New Student Experience Orientation session" tile to the right.

Seated sessions last 45 minutes to one hour. After the presentation, personalized assistance is available with an Academic Counselor/Advisor in order to discuss:

  • placement options,
  • career planning,
  • transfer planning,
  • curriculum selection, and
  • your next steps in the admission process.

Coastal Carolina's New Student Experience Orientation session also offers Group Scheduling sessions for students pursuing a College to University program of study (This includes the Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Engineering, Associate in Fine Arts, Associate General Nursing, and Associate in Arts/Science Teacher Preparation).

Group Scheduling is where new students learn how to:

  • follow their curriculum,
  • choose/plan classes, and
  • register online.

New students in a College to University (or Transfer) program of study must attend Group Scheduling online or in person in order to register for classes.
