Dear Client:

We hope you will take a few minutes to read this information.  It will answer many of your questions about our Cosmetology Clinic and its policies and procedures.

Please remember, this is a teaching institution.  Our major goals are to offer the best possible education to our students while providing the highest quality care to clients.  Due to added paperwork and the process of checking a student’s performance, your service will take longer than in a professional salon.  We appreciate your patience and ask that you allow students the necessary time to complete your service.  Remember they are training to be Cosmetologists.

Please realize that in order to help finance the operation of this program, we do ask that clients pay a nominal fee for services rendered.*  Because our primary concern is the welfare of both our students and clients, we reserve the right to defer or discontinue a service at any time due to a medical condition or any other circumstance deemed to be harmful to either party.  We sincerely hope that your experience in our clinic is a positive one.  If we can help you in any way, please let us know.

* $5 for basic services, $10–$15 for multiple or chemical services. $15 and up for haircolor
Regardless of requested services, clients can only receive services which can be completed in one session time (daily).

Thank you,
The Cosmetology Faculty and Students

Hours of Operation

Hours of operation are Monday-Thursday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (start receiving walk-ins at 8:30 a.m. each day) and Fridays-CLOSED.
Hours are subject to change each semester, so please call 910.938.6190 for our current schedule.

On occasion, advanced training classes, field trips, or seminars necessitate the closing of the clinic.  If you do not have an appointment, it is best to call to make sure we are receiving clients.

Appointments and Walk-in Services

Our students are responsible for scheduling their own appointments.  If you would like an appointment, please call 910.938.6190.  We will take your name, number, and service you want and give that information to the student you request.  If you do not request a specific student, we will place your name on our appointment board.  Should one of our students need to perform the service you request, the student will call you to set up an appointment.  Students are not allowed to leave class or clinic to schedule your appointment in person.  Appointment availability is affected by class/enrollment size.

If you do not receive a call within 48 hours, we welcome walk-ins.  Walk-in appointments will be accepted on first-come, first-served basis. We cannot guarantee the availability of a specific time or student for our walk-in clients.

Clients may check in one half-hour prior to the beginning of the session or appointment time.  Please be considerate of our students when you are unable to keep your appointment.  Call 910.938.6190 if you wish to cancel or reschedule.  We request a 24-hour notice if possible.

We realize that it may be difficult to get through on our phone, especially at the beginning of clinic.  If you call our number and get our voicemail system, this means that we are on the phone with another client.  Please leave a short message.  Once all clients are checked in, we check our voice mail and will return your call as soon as possible.  Your patience is appreciated.

In consideration of our learning environment please turn off cell phones.

Clients who desire a chemical service (such as a permanent wave, relaxer, or hair color) must check in with our receptionist 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment.

Clients with Caregivers

The caregiver must remain in the department.
