College/University Transfer

Associate degrees are offered in the arts (AA), science (AS), engineering, (AE), fine arts (AFA), and general education nursing (AGE) for students who aspire to transfer to a four-year college or university. 

Associate in Arts Degree (AA)

The Associate in Arts degree program prepares students to transfer courses or the degree in its entirety to a four-year senior institution. This program is designed for students who wish to earn a baccalaureate degree in a liberal arts discipline or professional discipline.

Associate in Science Degree (AS)

The Associate in Science degree program prepares students to transfer courses or the degree in its entirety to a four-year senior institution. This program is designed for students who wish to earn a baccalaureate degree in a science-related or math-related discipline.

The Associate in Engineering degree program prepares students to transfer courses or the degree in its entirety to a four-year senior institution. This program is designed for  students who wish to earn a baccalaureate degree in engineering.

Associate in Fine Arts Degree in Music (AFA)

The Associate in Fine Arts in Music degree shall be granted for a planned program of study consisting of a minimum of 60 – 61 semester hours of college transfer courses. Within the degree program, the institution shall include opportunities for the achievement of competence in reading, writing, oral communication, fundamental mathematical skills, and basic computer use.

Associate in Fine Arts Degree in Theatre (AFA)

The Associate in Fine Arts in Theatre degree shall be granted for a planned program of study consisting of a minimum of 60 semester hours of college transfer courses. Within the degree program, the institution shall include opportunities for the achievement of competence in reading, writing, oral communication, fundamental mathematical skills, and basic computer use.

The Associate in Fine Arts in Visual Arts degree shall be granted for a planned program of study consisting of a minimum of 60 semester hours of college transfer courses. Associate in General Education - Nursing (AGE)-N

The Associate in General Education - Nursing is designed for students who wish to begin their study toward the Associate in Nursing degree and a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing as based on Blocks 1 through 3 of the Uniform Articulation Agreement.
