What to Expect on Your First Day at Camp Lejeune

When you arrive at the John A. Lejeune Education Center, your class will be located on the far right side of the building.  Classroom numbers will be located on signs posted around the building.

Available Student Support

  • Computer Labs
    Located in rooms 216 and 217 and open Monday - Thursday, 7:30 am – 8:30 pm and Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm
  • Learning Lab
  • Library/Research Center
    Open Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am – 7:00 pm and Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Parking

Parking is available for faculty and staff to the right of the Education Center, in the front of the Education Center, and behind the Education Center by following the service road around the building.  Please do not park in the Superintendent parking lot to the far left of the building.

Dress Code

Military Off-Campus Sites locations must follow the Official Dress Code as set forth by the John A. Lejeune Education Center.  In an effort to maintain a professional relationship, please keep the following in mind:

  • No flip flops/shower shoes.
  • No spandex or athletic wear.
  • No spaghetti strap or sleeveless style clothing.
  • No offensive logos or writing.
  • No distressed jeans; i.e., holes.
  • No hats.

    Restaurant style dining with to-go options.

    Wednesday, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm,
    4:00 pm - 9:00 pm (Kitchen closes at 8:00 pm)
    Thursday, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm (Kitchen closes at 8:30 pm)
    Friday, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, 4:00 pm - 12:00 am (Kitchen closes at 9:00 pm)
  • Vending machines are located in the University Café.

Base Access

Students who need base access should email mandj@coastalcarolina.edu What will happen next?

You will receive a link from Noreplyto@mail.mil with the subject line [DoD SAFE] to upload the Department of the Navy form that is attached to this email. Once you have uploaded your form, the visitor center will contact you to let you know that your pass is ready for pick-up. If you do not hear from the visitor center by July 23, please contact me to let me know and I will follow up.

On the day of your appointment you will want to bring with you…

  • The original “Department of the Navy Local Population ID Card/Base Access Pass Registration” (Includes PII)
  • Insurance card
    1. If your insurance is not a North Carolina policy, you will need to upload the policy documentation that states the coverage
        • Must show NC Minimum liability
            1. $30,000 per person
            2. $60,000 per accident (BI)
            3. $25,000 property damage
    2. Vehicle registration card
    3. Copies of identification (State issued ID AND an approved second form of identification)
    4. Vehicle Power of Attorney, if necessary (only required if your vehicle is not registered in your name)
  • Please bring your driver’s license, the second form of identification that was used in the steps above, vehicle registration and proof of insurance.

When you arrive, let the greeter know that you already have a DBIDS pass that is ready for pick-up, this will expedite your experience.
