NCHEA Scholarship

NCHEA (North Carolina Healthcare Engineers' Association) is a non-profit professional association representing the Healthcare Engineering field of practice in North Carolina (https://nchea.com/), and a state chapter member of the national American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE). NCHEA provides education, advocacy, and professional development for the overall state Healthcare Engineering community. Coastal Carolina Community College has been selected to provide 2 to 3 students an opportunity to receive a scholarship for the Academic Year 2024-2025. To be eligible for consideration of the NCHEA Scholarship. Please read the following instructors to be considered for this opportunity. • Be enrolled or accepted to an engineering or technology-based program with relevance to the healthcare engineering field • Hold at least a 3.0 GPA if currently enrolled at Coastal or past (High School) • You must submit a one-page essay telling your story, career interest and plans for using the scholarship. Accepted formats are PDF and Microsoft Word. • Two letters of recommendation are required to complete your application packet. Letters should address financial need, academic performance, and/or general character. Letters may be obtained from instructors, clergy, or employers. One letter MUST be from a faculty member. Recommendations cannot come from a relative.
