Manicurist/Nail Technologist

The Manicuring/Nail Technology curriculum provides competency-based knowledge, scientific/artistic principles, and hands-on fundamentals associated with the nail technology industry. The curriculum provides a simulated salon environment which enables students to develop manipulative skills.

The entire program is 332 hours long; it consists of professional nail technology, business/computer principles, product knowledge theories, and practical application.

The program prepares graduates to take the North Carolina Cosmetology State Board Licensing Exam, and upon passing, be licensed and qualify for employment in beauty and nail salons, as a platform artist in related cosmetology industries.

Coastal Carolina Community College offers a Certificate. This has been identified as a limited enrollment program and may involve certain deadlines. See an academic counselor for additional information. The appropriate coursework is listed below.
